From schools to gyms, Capital Region partners provide organic snacks

EAST GREENBUSH -- It's early afternoon at Goff Middle School, and students are lining up to buy snacks in the cafeteria.
But something happened to the food here: It's gotten healthy.
Instead of greasy potato chips, there's Pirate's Booty, an all-natural snack food. Instead of candy, there's Barbara's Bakery organic granola bars.
Goff just started buying its snacks from Organic Vending LLC, a new company based in Rensselaer and Chatham, the respective home towns of the two founders, Larry Macera, owner of Royale Limousine Service in Albany, and Bob "The Wolf" Wohlfeld, morning radio host on WPYX.

Organic Food From a Vending Machine? Yes, its Available! |

If you find yourself buying lunch from a vending machine, excellent nutrition can be hard to come by.
Organic Vending is a two-month-old business based in Rensselaer designed to help consumers with that problem. As its name implies, the company supplies area businesses and schools with alternative vending machine snack options.
"People see the word organic and they think it's soybeans and tofu, and it's not. There is an organic version of pretty much everything," said Bob Wolf, company co-owner and long-time organic food eater.

You can now have your cake and eat it too! Many of our corporate clients use our multi-use machine that mix Organic and Natural snack food with traditional vending items like Snickers bars and Pop Tarts. Although we would much prefer if everyone ate Organic and Natural we realize that we have to serve the desires of our clients' employees.
